Dining Order System

From the table to the kitchen, without the paper. In development.

What it is

An ordering system for restaurants and cafés: the guest reads the menu on their own phone, the order reaches the kitchen without being carried there, and the bill is already correct when it is asked for. It is in development.

What it does

  • The menu on the guest's phone — A code on the table opens the current menu — in Arabic or in English, with prices and availability that are right because they come from one place.
  • Straight to the kitchen — Orders appear on a kitchen screen as they are placed, grouped by table and ordered by when they came in.
  • Tables, not tickets — The floor as it actually is: which tables are seated, what each has ordered, and what is still to come out.
  • The bill adds itself up — Split it, apply a discount, take payment — without anyone adding a column of numbers twice.
  • What sold, and when — Daily takings and per-dish figures, so the menu can be changed on evidence rather than impression.
