Bus Tracking System
Know where the bus is. In development.
What it is
A tracking system for the organisations that run buses — schools, universities, companies moving staff — so that everyone involved can answer the one question that matters: where is it now. It is in development.
What it does
- Live positions — Each vehicle on a map in real time, with its route, its next stop and how far behind or ahead of the timetable it is running.
- Routes and stops — Routes drawn once and reused, with stops, timetables and the passengers assigned to each one.
- Arrival notices — A message to a parent or a passenger shortly before the bus reaches them, instead of a wait at the kerb.
- A view for the driver — The route, the stop list and the day's passengers on a phone, designed to be read at a glance and not while moving.
- Reports for the operator — Attendance, punctuality and route history, kept long enough to be useful when a question is asked weeks later.
